CREVE COEUR ~ Rosemary Ann Ramige, 82 of Creve Coeur passed away at 7 a.m. Friday, February 17, 2017 at her home.

Born February 3, 1935 in Peoria to Ralph and Dorothy (Fisher) Hoppe, she married Melvin Ramige on February 3, 1956 in Peoria.  He survives.

Also surviving are three sons, Michael Ramige of Creve Coeur, Mark (Jill) Ramige of Wesley Chapel, FL and Mitch Ramige of Creve Coeur; one daughter, Marta (Dan) Brewington of The Villages, FL; four grandchildren, Mark Ramige, Jr., Melisa Ramige, Derek (Elena) Brewington, Brent Brewington; three great-grandchildren, Westley, Luna and Paloma.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Matthew on September 4, 1964 and three brothers.

Rosemary had worked for Restmor Nursing Home in Morton and then as the head cook at Tazewell Woodford Head Start in East Peoria, retiring in 1997.

She had been an active member at Grace Presbyterian Church in Peoria as a greeter, choir member, Sunday school class, and Vacation Bible school volunteer.  She and her husband had also gone on five mission trips with the church doing hurricane relief.  Rosemary had also been the Chaplain for the Navy Seabee Veterans of America Auxiliary for four years and volunteered with Super Seniors at Peoria Christian Center.

A loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Rosemary loved being with family, cooking, and going on family fishing trips.

Her funeral will be at noon Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at Grace Presbyterian Church.  Pastor John Hopwood will officiate.  Visitation will be from 10 to 11:45 a.m. Wednesday at the church.  Burial will be at 2:45 p.m. Wednesday at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Creve Coeur.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Grace Presbyterian Church, 8607 State Rte. 91, Peoria, IL 61615.
