PEKIN ~ Mable Eileen Trueblood, 93, of Pekin, passed away at 5:05 a.m. Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at Timbercreek Rehab & Health Care in Pekin.

Born September 5, 1925 in San Jose to William and Lena (Connett) Myers, she married Oce “June” Trueblood on November 22, 1946 in Hammond. He died December 15, 1973. She was also preceded in death by her parents; three sons, Michael, Daniel and John; one infant daughter, Ann; five brothers and two sisters.

Surviving are two granddaughters, Robin Hindahl of Colorado and Micah (Lamont) Hindahl of Pekin; one great-granddaughter, Caroline Hindahl of Pekin; four nephews, Ron (Carol) Hindahl of Pekin, Lyle (Karen) Myers of Deer Creek, Delmer (Judy) Myers of Creve Coeur and Delbert (Wilma) Myers of Deer Creek; two nieces, Delorous (Brian) Drew of California and Donna Weber of Indiana and several additional nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mable had worked at Caterpillar, Inc. from 1946 until 1948 and later worked at Morton Metalcraft from 1969 until 1976. She than became a self-employed housekeeper for many years.

She was a member of William Schaefer American Legion Post #44 Ladies Auxiliary in Pekin, Pekin Women of the Moose Chapter 673.She also served as past president, vice president and secretary of the UAW Community Club and past president of UAW Hi-Rise Auto Club.

Mable enjoyed crafting, doing ceramics and collecting angels.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Pekin.

Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday, July 29, 2019 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. The Rev. Judy Doyle will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Glendale Memoria Gardens in Pekin.
