CREVE COEUR ~ Iretta F. Walker, 94, of Creve Coeur, passed away at 10:40 a.m. Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at Pekin Manor.

Born July 20, 1922 in Bath to Henry C. and Julia N. (Reitzel) Nall, she married Edward “Ed” Walker on May 28, 1966 in Edwards. He died March 31, 2016 in Creve Coeur. She was also preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Alberta Allen and Cecila Tarvin and two brothers, Clyde and Wilmer Nall and two half sisters, Suzanne Long and Marilee Nall.

Surviving are one daughter, Lynnette Hemp of Creve Coeur; one grandson, Michael (Diane) Hemp of Creve Coeur; one great-granddaughter, Stephanie (Mark) Aeschliman, II of Creve Coeur; one great-grandson, Brad (Tanya) Hemp of Creve Coeur; four great-great-granddaughters, Grace Aeschliman, Hadley Aeschliman, Avery Hemp and Bristol Lee Aeschliman, all of Creve Coeur and two great-great-grandsons, Mark Aeschliman, III and Oakley Hemp, both of Creve Coeur.

Iretta worked in the accounting department at Bennett McKnight Publishing in Peoria for 23 years, retiring in 1986.

A huge Bradley Braves and Chicago Bulls fan, Iretta enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and watching them play sports.

Iretta was a longtime member of Sacre Coeur Catholic Church in Creve Coeur, where she was a member of Altar & Rosary Society making rugs with fellow members.

Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 27, 2016 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Creve Coeur. Father Michael Andrejek will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Pediatric Diabetes Resource Center, 530 NE glen Oak Ave., Peoria, IL 61637.
